Karol Brown performs with her husband, James Brown as Brown Tones Productions. The Browns travel the country presenting a portrayal of Harriet Tubman in a unique musical performance that “Brings you as close as you will ever be to meeting Harriet Tubman.” Karol also uses her background as a dietitian and health educator to transforming nursery rhymes and folktales into Nutrition Rhymes and Foodtales.
K. Sean Buvala
Avondale, AZ
Sean Buvala travels the United States presenting stories, training and workshops in storytelling techniques for a variety of business and nonprofit audiences. He is the author of “DaddyTeller: How to Be a Hero to Your Kids By Telling Them One Story at a Time.” He is the recipient of an Oracle Award from the National Storyelling Network.
Tim Ereneta
Berkeley, CA
Telling ancient fairy tales with a modern sensibility, Tim Ereneta enchants audiences in theatres, festivals, and house concerts across the country. He’s been the featured teller at the Emergent Storytelling Festival in Arizona. Tim will be sharing more with us as the site develops. Stay tuned.
Rachel Hedman

As family folklore expert and youth storytelling advocate, Rachel Hedman looks to the future by first looking in the home. She promotes positive communication and relationships through the Family Famine Series while revealing emotions that are often hidden in the heart. Sometimes Rachel adopts musicians, singers, dancers and tellers for collaborative efforts much like a reunion of artists. Since 1997, she has guided storytelling organizations as well as the community through leadership, blogs, and e-newsletters.
Sandy Oglesby
Phoenix, Arizona
Sandy’s passion, energy, and dedication to oral literacy is exhibited in every story she tells. From folktales to personal stories Sandy explores the human condition with humor and compassion. Her stories take her across town and across oceans to many different people and lands. Sandy will be sharing more with us soon.
Elly Reidy
Glendale, AZ
Asian folktales, and original stories and poetry are Elly Reidy’s specialties for both local and international audiences. Her on-going association with the Nu Wa Rising Storytelling Project has given her opportunities to share stories in a Chinese village as well as the International School of Beijing, building bridges of understanding via the power of storytelling.
At home, she is “Miss Elly” and tells stories to listeners of all ages in schools, libraries, churches and coffee shops. Elly has presented workshops on storytelling genres and techniques to high school child development classes, Head Start Teacher In-service Programs, Middle School ESL classes and other storytellers.

A professional storyteller for nearly 20 years, Ellouise’s signature programs are surprising combinations of original tales, traditional stories, and family lore. Her programs awaken audiences to the importance of their own personal and family stories.
Ellouise performs for adult, family, and senior audiences at festivals, colleges, art centers, schools and libraries from coast to coast. She also told on the Exchange Place Stage at the 2009 National Storytelling Festival, Jonesborough, TN.
